Questions people ask before they switch.

What is SnappyStack?

A self-hosted platform layer. It builds your applications into Docker containers and runs them — along with long-running coding agents and per-PR review environments — on Linux servers you own, reached over SSH.

Is this a Heroku or Vercel alternative?

For a lot of projects, yes. You get push-to-deploy, automatic certificates, zero-downtime releases and logs, but the machine is yours and the bill is a fixed server cost rather than per-seat and per-build metering.

How is it different from Coolify or Dokku?

The deploy story is comparable. What is different is Snappy Agents: the same daemon also runs sandboxed coding agents on your server, which self-hosted PaaS tools do not do.

What kind of server do I need?

Any Linux host you can SSH into — a Hetzner or DigitalOcean VPS, bare metal, or a machine in your office. Snappy installs Docker if it is not already there.

Do I have to use all three products?

No. Deploy, Agents and Review install from the same daemon and you can enable only what you need.

Where does my data live?

On your servers. Source code, secrets, databases and agent transcripts stay on hardware you control — we do not host your applications.

Is it production-ready?

It is in beta with real users running real workloads. We will tell you plainly what works today and what is still in the pipeline.

What does it cost?

Pricing is not published yet. Beta users get access while we work it out, and you pay your own server and model bills directly.
